FALL 2020 RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS
We are now accepting registrations for the Fall 2020 season.
With the steady and significant decline in local covid-19 cases since mid-April, we are hopeful that we will be able to have a full season this fall.
However, the coronavirus situation this fall remains highly uncertain, and it is possible that we may have to modify how we conduct the season, or even cancel it, as we had to do this spring.
Still, planning the season is a lengthy process that includes processing hundreds of registrations, forming teams and finding coaches, ordering and distributing uniforms and equipment, scheduling games, and so on.
For the season to happen, we have to do all of this now, before being certain about the status of the fall season.
(Peewee Instructional Program and Riverdale Soccer League Girls and Boys Divisions)
Boys born between 2005 and 2014, and girls born between 2006 and 2014, are eligible to play this fall.
The season will run from September 12 through November 22 and all games will take place at Seton Park.
There will be no games on September 19 or 20 due to the religious holiday on those dates.
Please note that this fall, for the first time, we are accepting registrations for 15-year-old boys (born in 2005).
Our hope is that we will have enough registrations to have a new high school division for boys born in 2005 and 2006, and the regular older division would be for boys born in 2007 and 2008.
If we do not get enough 2005 and 2006 registrations, we will revert back to the 3-year older division for boys born in 2006 through 2008, and we will refund the registrations of those born in 2005.
Game times are expected to be as follows:
Peewee players (boys and girls) born in 2014: Saturday mornings, 8:30 to 10
Peewee players (boys and girls) born in 2013: Saturday mornings, 10 to 11:30
Boys born in 2009 to 2012: Saturday afternoons (times will vary)
Boys born in 2005 to 2008: Saturday afternoons or Sunday mornings, depending upon enrollment totals (times will vary)
Girls born in 2006 to 2012: Sunday afternoons (times will vary)
Due to time and field space limitations and the growing popularity of our programs, registration is limited and is on a FIRST COME BASIS.
To register, print out a registration form.
Then mail the completed registration form with a $75 check or money order to the address on the registration form.
Normally, your canceled check would serve as your receipt, but given the coronavirus uncertainty for the fall, we will not deposit your check until we are reasonably sure that the season will occur, and will email a receipt message when we receive your registration.
There is no online or phone registration.
If your age group is full, you will be notified by email that you were placed on the wait list and your check or money order will not be deposited unless a spot opens up for you.
